Work and achievements of the Khmelnitsky branch of the SI “Derzhgruntokhorona”

Khmelnytsky branch of the state institution “Derzhruntokhorona” includes two production departments with three laboratories each, a Department of material, technical and economic support with a total number of 25 people.

Khmelnytsky branch performs about 200 types of various analytical studies of soil, crop products, water and building materials. The qualitative composition of mineral and organic fertilizers is determined. Radiological and toxicological studies are conducted.

The branch annually conducts surveys of about 200 thousand hectares of agricultural land, certifies 3.5 – 4 thousand land plots, provides certificates on the state of soil fertility, and produces cartographic material.

According to the results of analytical studies, 7-10 thousand tons of agricultural products are certified annually. Design and estimate documentation for chemical reclamation of acidic soils and sowing of green manure crops is developed, plant and soil diagnostics are carried out, according to the results of which calculations of the need for mineral fertilizers for the planned harvest and recommendations for their effective use are provided.

Specialists of the branch conduct research and advisory work on the rational use of agricultural land and reproduction of its fertility.

The testing laboratory of the Khmelnitsky branch is accredited in the “Ukragrostandartsertification”system.

The branch has received state distinctions and awards for its fruitful production, scientific and educational activities.

Scientific achievements of the branch are presented by specialists at seminars, regional and regional meetings, round tables, scientific and practical conferences, which cover the current quality state of the region’s soils, new farming systems, crop fertilization, the use of new types of organic and mineral fertilizers, and the reproduction of soil fertility. Performances on regional television and publications in newspapers are practiced. The branch’s specialists train specialists of agricultural organizations, farmers, tenants and other landowners on the issues of radical soil improvement, biologization of Agriculture, diagnostics of mineral nutrition, fertilization of individual crops, and the use of new-generation organo-mineral fertilizers.

Based on the results of scientific and practical activities, scientific reports are compiled, articles, methodological recommendations, brochures, booklets, etc. are issued.

Khmelnytsky branch of the state institution “Institute of soil protection of Ukraine” successfully cooperates with Khmelnytsky regional state administration, Department of agro-industrial development of Khmelnytsky regional state administration, Departments of agro-industrial development of district state administrations of Khmelnytsky region, Podilsk state agrarian and Technical University, Kamianets-Podilsky National University named after Ivan Ogienko and other educational institutions, the Main Department of land resources, State enterprise “Khmelnytsky research and design Institute of land management”, regional state agricultural inspectorate.
