Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the state institution “Institute of soil protection of Ukraine”

The Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the state institution “Institute of soil protection of Ukraine” implements state policy in the field of preservation, reproduction and protection of soil fertility, conducting their state monitoring, improving the quality of agricultural products and raw materials in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Main activities of the branch:

monitoring of soils on agricultural land to determine fertility indicators and the level of their contamination with toxic substances, followed by the production of agrochemical field passports and recommendations for measures aimed at improving fertility;

conducting operational and arbitration analyses to determine the quality and safety of agrochemicals, products, feed and raw materials;

preparation of expert opinions on soil compliance with the requirements for granting the status of a special zone for the production of raw materials used for the manufacture of children’s and dietary food products based on agrochemical certification data;

development taking into account the data of the agrochemical passport and agrochemical cartograms, design estimates and technological documentation for Liming acidic soils, surface improvement of land, laying perennial plantings, scientifically based use of agrochemicals and other measures aimed at reproducing and protecting soil fertility;

implementation of works on the production of land management projects for ecological and agrochemical justification of crop rotations and land management;

conducting research in the field of soil fertility protection, developing modern technologies for environmentally safe and rational use of agrochemicals, rational use and environmental safety of agricultural land;

participation in the development and implementation of state and regional targeted programs for the protection of soil fertility, agrochemical certification of agricultural land, the use of agrochemicals and product quality assurance.

Specialists of the branch take part in seminars, meetings, scientific and practical conferences held within the framework of regional programs, as well as state and international ones, where they present the work of the branch, focus on general problematic issues in the agricultural system, environmental safety of the region and possible solutions.

Based on the results of scientific and technical activities of the branch, scientific articles, methodological recommendations, monographs, booklets, brochures, etc. are issued.

The Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the state institution “Institute of soil protection of Ukraine” fruitfully cooperates with the Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration, the Department of agro-industrial development of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration, the State Department of environmental protection in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Main Department of land resources, the V. Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University.
