Round table of “Introduction of adaptive technologies in agricultural-industrial production in the south of Ukraine in the context of global climate change”
Svitlana Shukaylo, deputy director of the Kherson branch of the SI “Derzhgruntokhorona”, took an online part in a round table meeting on the topic “Introduction of adaptive technologies in agro-industrial production in the south of Ukraine in the context of global climate change”.
The event was held on June 24 this year at the Institute of irrigated agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences. The event was organized by: the research sector of the Tavriya region and Crimea in Kherson of the Center for regional studies of the National Institute for Strategic Studies, The Institute of irrigated agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences.

The purpose of the Round Table was to create a dialogue platform for close cooperation between representatives of government, business, science and the public. Identification of priority areas and main tools for implementing adaptive technologies in agricultural production in the south of Ukraine in the context of global climate change.
During the discussion, the participants of the event announced the results of numerous studies on the introduction of adaptive technologies and their elements aimed at optimizing production in the southern steppe of Ukraine and minimizing the impact of negative climatic factors. Agricultural producers have highlighted pressing issues that arise in connection with the use of resources in modern production conditions associated with significant changes in climatic conditions.
Based on the results of the Round Table, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Institute of irrigated agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Institute for Strategic Studies, which will ensure the most effective implementation of their creative potential in mutually beneficial areas, fruitful cooperation between science and education, etc.
The event had an innovative and informative content, was interesting and productive.
