“Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in the Tisza-Tour Interfluve Area” Project (Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine HUSKRO-UA/0901/040, 2012-2015)

The aim of the project was to support the joint management of natural processes in the interfluve of the Tisza and Tur rivers. One of the tasks was to conduct a detailed agrochemical survey of the agricultural lands with determination of indices of fertility and toxicological condition related to contamination of soils with heavy metals and organochlorine pesticide residues that have a long period of decay. A soil monitoring network with 15 monitoring sites was created in the study area.

European Union Technical Assistance Project: “Restoration of Reclamation Network to Promote Economic Growth of Rural Areas in Volyn Oblast”, which has been implemented under the EU Program “Support to Regional Development Policy in Ukraine” (EuropeAid/134171/LACT/UA, 2014-2016)

Two stages of agrochemical soil surveys (initial and final) were carried out on the lands of agricultural designation with an area of 9,090 ha located near the reclamation systems of Kovel and Ratniv districts for the purpose of their restoration (240 km of reclamation network). Science-based guidance notes on methods of farmery on the drained lands were elaborated.

Development of agricultural activities in Manevytsky district of Volyn Oblast and Volodymyretsky district of Rivne Oblast by supporting regional programs of soil improvement and civil educational activities. Agrochemical surveys of soils, collection of samples (soil samples) and elaboration of guidance notes for the population.
